Welcome to Falcon Trails Resort! We are a little forest resort on the shores of Falcon and High Lake in the Whiteshell Provincial Park. The land we occupy is Treaty 3 - traditional lands of the Anishinabewaki ᐊᓂᔑᓈᐯᐗᑭ and Michif Piyii (Métis) people.

Hand-crafted lakefront cabins featuring private hot tubs, remote hike-in eco cabins, docks, beaches, canoes, fat bikes, hiking, biking and ski trails, wood fireplaces, an onsite coffee house and nordic centre and the Falcon Ridge alpine ski slopes are just a few steps away.

Family Owned and Operated

Falcon Trails is a family business! The resort was created and built in 1995 by Falcon Lake locals Barb Hamilton and Craig Christie and continues to thrive in its second generation as operations are now run by their three daughters, Emily, Caleigh (and her husband Ryan) and Brooke.

Safer Space Policy

We want Falcon Trails Resort to be a safe, welcoming and enjoyable space for both guests and staff.  Our goal is for people of all genders, ages, abilities, cultures and sexualities to feel welcome and comfortable here.  Therefore, any form of discrimination will not be tolerated.  This includes, but is not limited to, sexual harassment, bullying, and any racist, sexist, homophobic, transphobic, fat-phobic or ableist comments or behaviours.  If at any time you are made to feel uncomfortable or unsafe at Falcon Trails Resort, please email us at pam@falcontrailsresort.com or for immediate assistance call the front desk at 204-349-8273 and ask for the acting Safer Spaces manager. Any concern brought to our attention will be taken seriously and addressed in a timely manner.

Environmental Policy

We love the forests here and have implemented the following changes around the resort to work towards respecting and minimizing impact on the land.

  • Solar power generated electricity! We are delighted to announce that as of the summer of 2019 we have installed enough solar panels to power all the cabins, and then some!

  • All-natural cleaning products: we use non-toxic, biodegradable cleaning products to maintain all our Falcon Trails and High Lake cabins.

  • Well-insulated cabin design to save heating energy

  • Passive solar lighting utilizing large windows on the southern wall

  • Cold-water washing with phosphate-free detergent for laundry when possible.

  • Composting and recycling program to minimize household waste

  • Naturally focused landscaping embracing the local habitat

At the High Lake Eco Cabins, winner of the Travel Manitoba Eco Tourism award in 2003, we have implemented a number of steps to sustain the pristine lake and environment:

  • Built using largely reclaimed or local materials with alternative building methods

  • ‘Remote access’ to avoid habitat destruction and to promote sustainable transport alternatives (walking, running, biking, cross country skiing)

  • Solar-powered electricity

  • State-of-the art composting toilets

Falcon Trails pursues these efforts to respect and sustain our environment for ourselves and future generations to live, work and play. We’d love to hear from you if you have any comments or suggestions on how we can further reduce our ecological footprint.
